Saturday morning, the boys and I along with the Honerlaw's went to Ona's to do some yard work (trimming, edging and mulching). Thankfully the rain held off until we left. It sprinkled all the way home. That night, Sarah had Mark a surprise birthday party. Click on the picture below.

Mark's Birthday |
Duane and Michael went for a walk this afternoon. They came home with three caterpillars. Michael played with them the rest of the evening.
I got the boys ready for bed and told them they could play for a few more minutes while I changed Wesley sheets. I walked into the toy room there was Wesley but no Michael. I called for him and this is what I found in his dark room. He wanted to sleep with his new friends. Unfortunately, one didn't make it and on is missing in action. We have a caterpillar running around our house unsupervised. I am sure I am going to find it unexpectedly! Unitl that one is found we are down to one.
Jack called me this afternoon to let me know that his caterpillar that we have been taken care of for a week now has turned into a cryllis and he wanted to know what to do now. I told him to put it in a safe place and not to touch it; because they need to be hanging. If the cryllis falls to the ground it will either not make it or come out deformed. It typically takes them three to five days until you will see them start skaing their way out. After they are out you emerse a cotton ball(s) in water and sugar. They love it!!! Each year at school, I would buy five monarch butterflies; they would come in a little container as itty bitty caterpillars, after they turned into a cryllis I would take the lid they were onto our butterfly pavillion.
Well, that is the end of this chapter to our busy weekend.
This week is already full of fun activities.
