Regan is here! (I hope I spelled that right!) She arrived at 4:09 am so she is sharing a birthday with Alicia! She weighs 1 lb 6 oz and is 12" long. She is doing as well or better than could be expected at this early date. (24weeks)
They were preparing to give Amy a c-section but the baby wouldn't wait. The cord was over her shoulder so the doctor had to hold the cord during the delivery.(Poor Amy!) We are so glad she didn't have tohave a c-section though. Apparently there had been concerns about Robert and blood but he did well and said, "You do what you have to do!" David said he (Robert) is very up beat.
Because of the flu season, Dave said they weren't going to be allowed toseeher but the headnurse was Amy's trainer (sounds like she is inthe circus!) so she let them sneak in and see her. Dave said she looks very dark and has long legs. She is on a vent but the better of the two kinds. (Maybe that will mean something to you nurses.)
Dave called me a few minutes ago and asked me to let everyone know. I hope I got all the details accurate!
