First time Dentist

There was a lot of things that happened last week; but no pictures to go along with our adventures. Except for this one;yeah, can you believe it just one.

Michael had to have a dental assessment before entering preschool. I was afraid of his reactions. Thankfully, last month, (unfortunate to me) the boys had to go with me for my dental cleaning. So, Michael knew that mommy didn't get hurt and either would he. He was GREAT and so was Mr. Observer (crazy man-Wesley). They had him sit on my backwards and put his head on the dentists legs. He opened up nicely; he let her clean his teeth and put vitamins on them. When we were finished he informed me that he was good and wanted to go to Kroger's to get some candy. The dentist said, "HE SHOULD NOT NO WHAT THE WORD "CANDY" IS: HE IS WAY TOO YOUNG. Tell me what two almost three year old hasn't had candy???

I think this is a lot of stuff for going to the dentist. I never received a hard back book. Did you? I guess I did get to go to the treasure chest. I guess a book is a lot more educational than a cheap old toy. You know Michael (our bookworm) was thrilled!!! We already read it SEVERAL times. They gave Wesley a really cool baby tooth brush. He loves chewing on it. They said they would like to see him in a few months. I don't plan on him going until it is time for him to go to preschool. I took pictures on my cell phone; but don't know how to send them to my email. I have a razor. Does anyone have any ideas? Because I really want them!!

Wesley is walking a lot and climbing a lot more. He definitely turning into a toddler!!! He is getting a little personality. Some cute and good; others like temper-tantrums for not getting what he wants not so good. At the dentist, he was extremely active and boisterous. He was climbing on the chair and then onto the table, once he got up he would climb down, grab a book and sit in the chair and look at it. It was soo cute watching him turn the pages like he was really reading it. He was walking to me and tripped on a piece of furniture. He hit is head and got a BIG goose egg. He didn't cry, he sat there and watched Michael. I got some ice for it; but he made a huge fuss about the ice so I let him continue to play. A lady from a different country came running over and pushed the ice onto his goose egg saying, "That needs to go back in!!!" "That needs to go back in!!!" I told her he was fine and that they always tell you it is better for it to come out than to stay in. There was an older lady that told me he was hyper and needed to be on Ritalin. I told her, "No, he is extremely active like the rest of his family." She told me that the teachers told her the same thing and she told them that she would not put her child on "the pill." She said that she sent a Thermos of coffee in every day he was to get it twice a day. The teacher told her she wouldn't give it to him. The lady said, "I bet you will by the end of the day." The teacher made sure he got his coffee twice a day. I have never heard of that!!!

PLEASE PRAY!!!!! My mom is having surgery tomorrow morning. If they do it "the new way" she will be out tomorrow; but if they have to do it the "old way" she will be in there a couple of days. Please pray that she comes through very well and that she gets feeling better.

We are leaving for vacation on Wednesday to spend some time with Mi Mi and Pappy (Duane's parents). We are going to Myrle Beach with them for the weekend and be back next week sometime. YEAH!!!
