Here are the Boy's Easter basket (yes all three of my Boy's) along with my parents Easter basket.
Our Easter celebration started on Friday!!
This is the first year I let Michael do his own eggs. He did a great job!!
He likes telling you there colors.
Here he is putting them in one by one.
Check out the stickers he put on his eggs.
Next is the baking.
Here is our finished product-Easter Baskets. These were made for homebuilders.
Saturday, we went to the Monroe Easter Egg Hunt. We got there five minutes till one. Their sign out front said one and so did the road closed sign. Anyways, we get to his age bracket to find out they already did it. How disappointing for a two year old. He cried all the way to the car. Usually, we don't let him cry; but if I was him I would be crying too. We got in the car and I tried to think of any other egg hunts and couldn't think of any. So, I suggested that we go home, and watch a short video with popcorn and than take a nap. I told him that the Easter Bunny would probably be able to come to our house and hide eggs at our house. He quickly cheered up. I was glad. When we woke up from his nap; he was sooooooooooo excited to see if the Easter Bunny visited him. Sure enough he did.
This was taken before Michael realized he was going home with an empty basket.
Poor guy! Hopefully, better luck next time!!
Our own Easter Egg Hunt. Look I found one!!!
Another one...
Michael's audience.
Can I please come out and join Michael in all of the fun!!!
Tonight, before Michael went to bed; we talked about the true meaning of Easter. I don't think he got it!! He is only two!!!
The sad thing is, too many Americans don't know the true meaning of Easter. Duane had a full-grown guy ask him at work this week, "Easter is when Jesus was born, right." Duane said, "No, actually it was went He died and resurrected." The guy asked Duane if he actually believed in all of that and told him what he thought.
How sad!!!!
