Parky's Farm

I am so blessed to be able to stay home with the boys; but I still really miss teaching! The boys and I went with the 2nd grade from LBA. We had a lot of fun and I really enjoyed the kids. When you are a teacher; the one thing that is NOT fun is field trips!! This field trip was nice; because I didn't have to worry about "are the parents having a good time," "Making sure so-in-so doesn't disturb and cause trouble." Here are some pictures on us and 2nd grade. I had most of them in kindergarten.

If you would like a nice fall activity to do with the kids Parky's Farm in wonderful. It is located in Winton Woods. The price is $5.00 and you get a hayride out to pick a pumpkin, play in the playbarn, see all of the farm animals, fishing (for the kids), and a cookie with juice. You can also have a pony ride which was Michael's favorite.

I remember those field trip days. The worst days of the year:-) I hated how stressed out I would get over whether the kids were being ok and if the parents thought I was a terrible teacher. Looking back I realize that the kids are more of a reflection on their parents then on me so..... if they want to complain....

I totally agree! Field trips are way more exhausting than a day of teaching. We just took one and it actually went very smooth. None of my parents went and I just kept my class together and we went without the school kids. It was a very nice time! I was dreading it that morning though!
Your TN trip sounded like a lot of fun!

What I meant to say was that my class went on their own without the OTHER school kids. Yep...to go on a field trip without kids...sounds kinda nice. :)

Hi Katie, just checking out your blog spot. Good to see you all are getting along ok. The boys are so cute, i bet they keep you on your toes!! Please tell your mom that I said, "hello". She had sent me a little card in the mail in June. I was going through a very difficult time when her little card arrived at my house. Needless to say, it was encouraging and I needed it. :o)
