We went to Steve and Becky's for Easter. The kids enjoyed an Easter Egg hunt which tired them out for our van ride to aunt Ginny's house.

My grandma turned 70 on MOnday and we had her a little party. I made the cake.

Alicia came in for the weekend. We took the boys to the beach waterpark for their egg hunt the boys enjoyed it. Check out Wes, he got too many eggs and needed Duane's pocket.

We got a lot of snow!!! The Wesley like it a little. If he came outside, he didn't stay long! Michael loved it and didn't want to come in. Here is a tunnel we made, Wesley(the one in red) this is as far in the tunnel as he got. Michael went through it several times.

After three months of lots of laundry, trying to get the boys out of the habit of peeing at nights. I am sooo glad to say, I don't have to buy diapers or pull-ups any more!!! The boys are now sleeping through the night with out bed wetting!!! Yeah!!! I am soooo glad for that extra money in my pockets and no more constant changing of the sheets!!

I hope everyone is enjoying their Thanksgiving! We have so much to be thankful for! My top five:
1. Personal Relationship with God
2. my health along with healthy husband and two healthy boys
3. job that allows me to be with my kids
4. food on the table
5. warm house over my head

On Tuesday, once the kids left for Thanksgiving break, I stayed back to get my room ready for Christmas. My friend Katie, came and helped me build the igloo for the kids. I had a contest to see who could bring in the most milk jugs and Savannah brought in 132. Whoever brought in the most milk jugs gets to have dinner with us.
Michael is REALLY excited because Savannah is his BFF!!!!

Wednesday, the kids and I cleaned the house and got the Christmas decorations up inside the house as well as outside. Yeah!!!!!

Thursday, was a great day with family!!! Duane's parents came in and stayed until this evening. It was nice hanging out with them. Wesley cried when they were leaving and Michael about 30 minutes after they left said he was , "worried." I asked why he was worried and he told me, "ESHEE (Alicia) and papa and mimi have a long ways to go." We stopped what we did and prayed for them to have a safe trip home.

One more day to relax and it is back to work for another three weeks. Boy, are they going to be LOONNNGGG weeks. So much to accomplish in sooooo little time!

My goal this Christmas season is not to let the stress and food put on me WEIGHT!!!!

My poor blog!!! I feel it is getting majorly neglected here lately!! I am enjoying facebook so much more. I don't feel like posting in two places.

School is going great!!! I love my class! I have a smaller class with not as much needy children. I am really enjoying my job. So far, this class has been alot of fun and for the most part easy. We are getting alot accomplished! My children know all their colors in spanish and most of the children can spell the color words. With having less kids you are able to get so much more accomplished.

This year it's not a drag to go to work. I love having my kids with me almost 24/7. They drive me crazy at times (especially at school with the clinginess). I love having Wesley with me most of the day! Last year was sooo hard on me! I hated leaving him; children need their mommies!! The first two weeks were a little difficult for him! He has to share his mommy with other children and he DID NOT like that. He is getting use to it and this week went a lot better. He is now okay if I leave the room or give another child some attention.

Michael is loving his "monkey" class. He is in with most of his buddies from last year. He is maturing and learning sooo much! He is going through a stage of pushing the limits one day; doesn't care how much trouble he gets himself into to the next day wanting to be a super pleaser.

Duane is doing great! He is staying pretty busy with Steve. He is also getting tons of phone calls for bids on jobs. Hopefully he'll get them!!!

October is going to be super busy!! I have cake orders coming out my ears. We are planning on going to see Ginny again and that same weekend Duane is going on a four-wheeling trip. LBA is having 25 homecoming Celebration on Michael's (real) birthday and we will be there the WHOLE Weekend for a lot of fun. We are auctioning off this: Duane made the table and my class painted it. We are the Toucan class. So, the footprints are suppose to be the toucan's body, the toes are the colorful feathers, and the beak is their two fingers put together. The flowers are made from their fingers. I thought it turned out really cute! I hope it brings BIG bucks!!!

Week of Aug. 24

Olive Garden with some friends!! The waiter was so nice and gave the boys each a plate of cheese. Before we left we cleaned up the "snow" from the floor.

Monday, we went swimming for the last time this summer.

Tuesday, was a crazy day!!! It started with taking Jack to school.
Then, at 9:30, Michael was at the hospital having his tonsils and adenoids out.
Around 9:00 I was doing my school email and I noticed Michael was being really quite. I went into where he was watching a movie and he had the doratos out eating. Thankfully I caught him just on his first one. He informed me that is was a BIG one. He told me, "Daddy said that if I eat any food I won't be able to have surgery. Do you think they will want to take them out now? We headed to the hospital and once we got there he informed several nurses that he ate a BIG dorato. Duane quickly took him to the restroom to let him no that if he tells one more nurse he was going to get it.Needless to say, he did just fine! The kept him a little longer than typical because of his breathing. Tuesday night, he threw up quite a bit. Wedneday has been his best day so far.

Wednesday, Michael was feeling good enough to help me clean the bathroom.

Thursday and Friday, we was not feeling well at all. He was begging to go swimming. Friday, I thought it might feel good for him to get wet.

Friday night, I threw a surprise birthday party for my friend Dana.

Saturday, we took the Children's Church kids to WPAFB. They actually had a lot of fun. I thought that they would get bored; but they seemed to enjoy it!!!

Sunday, Michael and Lindsay were sitting outside enjoying there candy. I thought this picture was cute!!

Monday, Michael had a playdate with his friend Savannah at King's Island. They had a lot of fun; but it was really hot!!!

Wesley does NOT like being hot!! He likes to take off his clothes and run around naked if I would let him. Noticed the picture he took off his shirt. You can also see his tooth. The kids enjoyed dancing on the rock.

Tuesday, the boys had fun with my dad's scraps making ramps.

Wednesday, Kristina Wall, Kris Miller and I took our kids to the zoo. They were nice enough to watch the older boys while I took Wesley back to the hospital. He had a lot more little pieces of that tooth in his gum. He was not a happy camper!! At least now he feels better!! A happy child a happy mother!!!

Today, we are meeting Erika for a lunch playdate, Michael has a pre-op appointment for getting his tonsils and adenoids taken out. Then we are off to VBS!!! Another busy week/weekend!!!

Monday, the boys and I checked out the new outlet mall that opened up last week. It is nice!!
Also, Wesley had his last appointment with the plastic surgeon over his face. They are pleased!
That night, Michael started swim lessons again. They moved him up a class and he is with kids a year older than him. He loves going!!!
Tuesday, I took the boys to the Children's Museum. I am trying to make sure we hit the typical places of fun before school starts for all of us.
Wednesday, was the BIG day with Wesley. We still managed going to church to help with canvanassing the park for children to come to VBS.
The rest of the week is pretty much hystery!

The boys and I were getting ready for our day, I asked Michael and Jack to clean up the toy room. Michael saw a spoon that obviously didn't belong in the toy room and threw it, trying to hit the table. Wesley was at the wrong place at the wrong time.

We went to Children's Hospital close to us, just for them to send us downtown to the oral surgeons at the main branch. My mom came and helped out with the older kids. I don't know what I would of done if she wasn't available. When we got there, all of the surgery rooms were full. We could wait until six in the evening, come back tomorrow or...Give him some local to numb the spot and do it that way. I asked the doctor what he would do, if this was his child. He said that he would get it out now, because we wouldn't want anymore damage to his gum. So, the got out the "sleeping bag,"(just two weeks before this, they used the same thing on him to get his stitches out, he went crazy) they got him in it, I got him settled down. They numb him, he is pretty calm until they pulled out their equipment. My poor baby!!! The doctor was telling him every little detail of what was going to happen, Wesley is screaming bloody murder. As he was screaming, he would spit blood all over. The sound of them breaking and removing the rest of the tooth was enough for me!!! While they were doing it, he would look at me like why are you letting them do this. What a tramitizing day for the both of us. After the procedure, we both worked up an appitite and ate more then we typically do. Thank you so much mom for helping out!!!

After his nap, he woke up happy and normal.
Yesterday, the gum was black and you can still see the bone. He has been more clingy than normal; but still his happy go lucky self!!!

I can't seem to get enough of this place!! She calls it "a little peice of Heaven" and it truly is!! Everytime we go down there, they find new places for us to go and do. This trip was my favorite so far and I really enjoyed the mountain air. each day we went for a hike at different locations. Can you say, "relaxing!!??"

A few weeks ago, Michael started swim lessons. Michael doesn't like getting his head wet. I feared the worst and told him if he was good and didn't cry we would go to The Cheesecake Factory for a peice of cheesecake. On the way to swim lessons, he complains that he doesn't want to go; but once he is there he loves it!!!

Our third week out of school

This week ended up being a park week.
Monday, we went with some friends on a nature walk toured my Sharon woods. When we were with the tour guide she told us that the part of the tour we were on the day before was filled with water and under the rocks we will probably find some animals. So, the kids flipped over some rocks, out came a BIG snake (that was scary), a baby turtle, some frogs, and of course spiders. My boys were in boy heaven!!! Michael keeps asking when we are going to go back. It was really cool and FREE!!!

Thursday, we went with Erika and Hannah to Smith Park. We weren't there no time and it started to rain. The kids didn't seem to care; but we did! We loaded up the kids and went to the Burger King that had an indoor play land. Wesley and Hannah enjoyed loving on each other. They were cute!!!

Friday, we met up with some other friends at the Mariemont park. The kids enjoyed the park, some swimming and Graeters icecream.

Saturday, we went to Jaboct Park on Saturday while we waited on Duane. Many of you know, Duane went on a four-wheeling trip three and a half weeks ago. On his way down there, he broke down. He left his truck at the dealership there to be fixed. Three weeks later, they were still waiting on the parts. So, Duane and Merril Lavyi drove down to Princeton West Virigina to pick up the broken truck. Can you believe it three weeks and they haven't even opened the hood.
That following Wednesday, the boys and I were coming home from my aunts in Tenn. We had someone hit our van from behind.

Right now, both vehicles are in the shop. GRRRRR!!!!!

Well, that about sums up our week!! Sorry, no pictures. Can you believe it??? Me, neither. Enjoy camp!! We are headed to NC.

My twin cousins, Taylor and Aaron graduated from high school. Taylor went yesterday to take state boards on cosmetology and my cousin Aaron is heading to Korea on Monday. He finished boot camp third out of almost 200!

A couple of Monday's ago, children's church let the children know that if they had saved up their points (600)they would be able to go to King's Island. Here are a few pics of the kids that were able to go. Most of the pics were of the younger kids because that is who I spent my day with. I wish we would of got a group picture! I think I am safe to say that everyone had a great time!!!

Our first week was a busy one!!!
We went to Graeter with the Cramers.

We are at my cousin Taylor's graduation.

I substuted for second grade that week. We went to the Aquiram.

We went to see my friend Dana that just got out of the hospital from having surgery and in the hospital for 6 days. We went to downtown Mason for some yummy icecream at a cool little local parlor.

The boys have been sleeping together in Michael's bed.

Of course, we made another trip to Aunt Ginny's. The boys just LOVE going down there!

Here are the trees they promised they would replace for us. No...wait...those trees are 35-40 feet away from our property. GRRRR!!!!

So I guess I need to catch up! Life has been so busy!!!

I love our new building! Most of all I am SOOOO glad I am not a WIDOW anymore!!! Duane's been home more and we love it!!!

Here is Michael at the new building storage room. He got tired of waiting, he found a book and begin to "read."

I am going to have to find boots for Wes. He is a hair too short to ride all of the rides with michael.

This is a must see!!! We love going here every year. One of the great perk's was my friend from work gave me a free pass and the boys got in for free. Once I got there I realized I left my pass at home. It was still only $6.00 for adults. I didn't think was bad. The boys loved it!!!

Sunday night after all of our Easter activities; the boys and I headed down to see aunt Ginny. She moved about 4-4 1/2 hours away. I love the view of the golf course. They just finished there basement and that is where we stayed. I am loving it down here!!! It is nice and relaxing here.

He is Risen!!!

Michael has been totally into the Easter story the last couple of weeks. He is asking a lot of questions. Duane overheard Michael talking to Wesley; "hey Wes, look I have a cross, you want to play crucified." Duane jumped in and told him that probably wasn't a good idea.

Friday morning in between being sick; Michael went up to Wesley and stuck his hands on Wesley's head and said, "Wessey, I know you done know wrong, but I have to put thorns on your head and nails in your feet." The teacher in me came out, I had to jump in and ask if he knew why Jesus suffered a painful death for doing nothing wrong.

Last night at communion, he was sitting with my mom and she got all of the questions. He didn't like it that he wasn't able to participate. When we got home, Michael had his own communion with his cherry juice and chips.

With all of that being said, I think our children got the true meaning of the season. It is not about the Easter Bunny that brings us temporary joys in our basket; but a living Savior that lives in us and gives us continuous joy. I hope everyone has a blessed day!!

Easter Break!!

Friday, officially started Easter break for us! I was hoping for sleeping in and lots of spring cleaning to get finished; that thought came crashing down went the boys and I were on our way home from taking dinner to the guys at church. Michael got VERY sick. He was constantly running to the bathroom (5 times) that night and Wesley was up twice (once for a drink and the other because he heard a "scary choo choo"). Wesley had the "bug" last night. I think we are all doing fine now! I hope because after Easter lunch we are heading to Tennessee to see my aunt Gina. With Duane working at the church until 9:30 at night; I thought this would be the best time for the boys and I to go down. They are very excited!!!! They love their "Great" aunt Ginny! We'll be back LATE on Wednesday night. Wednesday is Wesley's birthday and Gina has some fun things planned for us.

Here is my spring cleaning list for when I get back. If I write it for the world wide web; I will make a better effort to make sure they are all crossed off!!!

CPR

I couple of Saturday's ago, the preschool team lacking three others headed to King's Island for American Red Cross CPR training. Once we got there; we realized that we got signed up for the wrong class. We were in the adult CPR class instead of the child. Grrr!!!! It looks like we will be taking it over (at least I can save one of them). This is a really great tool to have even if you are not a teacher! When Michael was little and had his issues; the doctor required Duane, I and Vashti (former babysitter) to have it. You never know when you might need it for someone you love! I had to use it on Michael when he was a baby and swallowed a piece of plastic. This year at school, I had to use it on a child that swallowed a mint and got it launched in her throat.

We obviously made the best of the day!

Recipe for fun

Michael and Wesley's recipe for having fun:
1. a box
2. packing peanuts
3. 2 boys
4. a mom coooking dinner
First, you make sure your mom is in the middle of cooking. Don't start crying or fighting or she will come see what the commotion is and your fun will be over!!
Next, pull the box with packing peanuts to the ground in the garage with the garage door slightly opened.
Then, you jump up and down on the box to make the peanuts burst out to hit your brother. This will make him laugh and want to stomp them into little peices. Don't forget to leave the garage door a little open so the tiny weeny peanuts can fly all over your yard and the neighbours.
Finally, when your mom comes out to check on you be busy playing with something else, then she'll think your brother did it. But don't be like me and leave your evidence on your shirt!!!
Duane and I didn't have fun cleaning this mess up with the March winds. They did have a good time though!!!

Last Saturday

This year, I am trying to spend more time with my grandparents. Last Saturday, the boys and I took my Grandma and Grandpa Wells to Sara Jane's ( a home cooked meal). Michael pestered them the whole time and of course they enjoyed it. Well, my grandpa left the tip on the table and Michael stole it(enticed my my grandma). He ended up giving both of the boys five dollars. Michael right away said, "I am going to put it in my piggy bank." Michael is a boy after my own heart a saver.

After we were finished we went to Traders World to see if we could find any country pictures for my brothers new place. Were we parked there were real horses that children could ride. Michael asked, "mommy, can I ride those." I told him if he wanted to spend him money I would let him. His reply,"Oh no, you use your money; my money needs to go in my piggy bank." I told him that if he wanted to ride it, he would have to use HIS money. He said no, than yes, than no. Over the PA we heard, We will be closing in five minutes please make your final purchases. Michael panicked, mommy, I change my mind, I will spend my money do we have time? As we were walking back to the car I told him if it was open he could ride it. Of course, the horses were getting tired and three of them had a BM three different times. The boys thought that was the coolest thing. And something else happened and Michael informed everyone there that the horse and him had the same thing, "Look mommy, the horse has a ~~~~ just like me. ( I will let you fill in the blanks) embarrassing; but funny!!!!

In House Field Trip

Since we are pre school; it is hard to have a field trip with all of the car seats. So, we have been having some at our school. This month we are talking about animals. Next, week the zoo is coming. They had others; but this is all I had of animals ONLY. Michael throughly enjoyed it and is begging to have them come to his birthday party. I told him we will have to wait and see.

The last huge snake went inside the ladies shirt. It was funny watching them try to get it out modestly.

Haircuts

Tuesday, I took three boys to get their haircut. I was actually dreading it; but they were GREAT!!!!

Wesley is 23 months today and this was his first haircut with a professional. As you can tell by their faces, they didn't mind. Wesley thought he was BIG stuff!!!

I went to Meijer's to pick up some cheap chicken and came out with this plus a raincheck for the chicken.

I had a free coupon for the toaster strudels which Wesley loves in the morning.
Last week, I went to Meijers to get the Dannamimal yogurts and of course came home with a rain check. The rain check was for 2 for $4 of course coupon junkie herself (me) had two $1 off coupons. Which made them a dollar a piece. The price on them are a little on the high side $3.89 a piece. So, I feel like I got a bargain! Michael just loves these things!!! With Michael being a little lactose intolerant these are just perfect not to make his belly hurt and throw up!!!

Do you ever feel like you are running just to catch up with yourself? Well, that is how we have been around here!!!! Busy...Busy...busy!!!!

Duane has been going from his paying job to volunteering at the church almost everynight. The boys and I will take them dinner once a week. The boys really enjoy playing there.

It was funny Michael and Bryson came walking up from the side of the Family Ministries Building (Michael without shoes on). Bryson saw me and shook his head, "I warned him and he didn't listen. Now he looks like the sandman." What a cute kid!!!

After the dinner, we got invited over to Daniel and Rachael Miller's house. We had a good time playing games while the guys played pool.

Last week, I let the boys pick out what they wanted to wear. Here is what they picked out:

I thought Michael did pretty good matching. Unfortuately, it was Saturday because he looked like he dressed himself ready for church.

Here is the latest with our backyard! I just hope it will be finished by spring (13 more days).

The last week in January Jack's babysitter had a procedure done. So, I have been watching him a lot here lately. Last week I watched him 17 hours plus had him stay over one night. This week will be alot more because his mom will be out of town. We have a lot of fun with him! He is like part of the family.

On top of that and working full-time at LBA I am studying for my lisensue which I take next Saturday. Yes, I know about time! Unfortuatly, I feel I picked the wrong time to take it with all that is going on. I haven't really had much time to study and it has been 8-9 years since I took the courses that the tests will be over. So, I have this one and another one over different things next month. All well, if I fail I can always shell out the $150.00 to take it again. I would really appreciate your prayers!!!

Construction and Dinosaur Month

This month has been a fun month at school for the kids!
We started out the month with Dinosaurs in Construction.
I made a dinosaur egg out of paper mache. The kids thought it was the coolest thing! I let it sit outside my room for about a week. I put a crack in it to make the kids think the dinosaur was getting ready to hatch. Then, I made a hole in it when they weren't looking and took Michael's BIG dinosaur in. We pretended that the dinosaur escaped and we went around the school to see if we could find the missing dinosaur. Once they found it; they had a lot of fun playing with it.

We also had a dinosaur snack; here are the ingredients:
dead grass (oats) fat (butter), crushed bones (sugar) dirt (cocoa)smashed bugs, swamp water (green food coloring and milk). They tasted like no bake cookies. After we talked about the ingredients; the kids weren't too sure if they would want to try it.

Finished Carpenter Duane came in and talked to my class and another class about being a "construction worker." The kids thought it was sooo cool!

We finished our dinosaur theme with a homemade volcano. It was real easy to make and the kids loved watching it erupt.

As you can tell; I love my job!!!!

3/4 cup of coffee

rest of the way with warm/steamed milk

Michael's Room

Here is Michael's room. He got his bunk beds like he wanted! We decided to go with a twin over a twin to save in room space. The ladder ALWAYS stays on the top bunk! I just took it down for the picture. I can see the boys climbing up and jumping off.

What do you think about the curtains? I am not sure if they go now. I am thinking of getting ones similar to Wesley's. What do you think??

Let it snow, let it snow

It was nice having three days off from school! I got the boys rooms changed over and organized.
We went out a few times; but the boys did not like the cold. They are still a little young. Michael did enjoy making "snow tracks" and looking for snow monsters. Michael was really hoping for a ride on Duane's four wheeler. Duane couldn't get it started and ended up taking it in to get it fixed; maybe the next snow if we get any.

Martin Luther King Weekend

Martin Luther King weekend was SOOOOO cold it was in the negative digits outside on Saturday. The boys and I went to http://www.paint-n-play.com/ . The boys had a great time! They would paint a little and then go play; paint a little and then go play. It was great because I wanted to make a plate with their handprints on it. While one was playing; I would have the one painting also do their hand.
The boys worked on a cat bank. You paint them and in a week later you can pick them up after they go through the kiln. Unfortunately, the bank only lasted a day. We took it to my parents house to show them and Wesley dropped in on the carpet. The plate is looking great on the counter! I may use it for a plate of dessert. We will see!!!

On Monday, The Honerlaw's invited us over to go ice skating on their pond. They have a BIG German Shephard that Michael is terrified of. It took him a while to warm up. But once he noticed he had the girls' attention; that was it! They showed him how to twirl and they made him a prince chair to sit on. He thought he was big stuff with those big kids. Wesley had fun in his own little world.

It was nice having two days off. I got the boys' room changed and organized. Pictures are coming as soon I get the curtains up. I am debating on what to do with Michael's window. Well, I need to figure out the next two days at school; since we had two days off.

Last weekend I put Wesley's bedroom baby bed room set up for sale. Within two days, it was sold for the price we asked; it's a bitter/sweet moment. My babies are getting bigger. Duane is delivering it today to its new home.

Duane and I are debating on a twin over full or twin over twin bunk bed. I guess tonight when I get home from Open House we will make our final decision and get it ordered. Until it comes in; he will be sleeping on a mattress on the floor.

What a weekend!!!!

I don't know if this is the blame; but my poor children have been hit majorly with a bad case of the diarrhea. They both woke up Friday night/ Saturday morning three times with it. Poor Michael has it worst! It seemed like every 15-30 minutes he would be running. Saturday, it got soooo bad I ended up putting a diaper on Michael and he was NOT a happy camper. It was better than a chance of not making it in time!!! Today is better! Michael's had one case and Wesley just two.

As you may have heard, there has been a recall of many products across various brands and product types due to salmonella contamination in a US peanut processing facility. The two my boys love and ate like crazy last week was, The Austin Brand and Meijer brand peanut butter crackers.

FYI!!!!

Initially, the recall by PCA (Peanut Corporation of America, the originator of the contamination) included a note that "consumers were unlikely to be affected", this has turned out not to be the case as PCA's recall has been expanded to include peanut paste used in many packaged snack products and ice creams! Please read the recalls and check the list linked below.

Misc. happenings

I thought I was all caught up until I was looking at my pictures.

A couple of weeks ago a great friend of mine called to see if I wanted to go for breakfast. She took me to Mom's in Lebanon. I had biscuits and gravy. It was YUMMY!!!
It was nice having breakfast with her!!!

Not what they told us they were going to do. They told us they were going to just take down the brush and leave the BIG trees. Do you see any trees back there??? As you can tell we along with everyone else is not to happy. Our neighbors called them and they promised to plant mature trees. I am hoping their mature and my mature are the same thing!!! I left for work at 7 am and returned home at 4 pm and they came somewhere inbetween

Do you see my neighbors house??? I never knew I had neighbors back there let alone to know they had a pool too. Anyways, it really isn't a big deal. I just hope they get there project done before summer! It has been like that since the middle of November. I';ll post more when more happens.

Last week Mark called me and said that he was taking the youth to Perfect North Ski Slope and didn't have any chaperones. You know he is desperate when he calls me! :>)

It was a lot of fun hanging out the youth! I forgot how noisy they were. Was I that noisy when I was a teenager? I am sure I was. Getting home after 2 am is definitely for the teenagers! The boys were up at 7:00 that morning; I drug myself out of the bed.

This Friday, Michael had his first playdate with a friend from school. They had a lot of fun!

Duane has been working EVERY night at the church. Last night, I was really missing him! Coming home to a dark, empy house with no plans made the night longer.

I called my sister-n-law to see what she was up too. Mark went to the church yesterday night to work too. So, she came over, we watched a movie and ate Skyline.

Vashti came into my class on Wednesday and gave me this look like you will never believe what just happened. I was scared to ask; but after I found out I thought it was humerous. Here is Michael and my conversation on the way home:
"Michael, I heard that .... kissed you."
Is that true?
Michael, "NO,mommy!!!! We kissed each other on the lips like this."
Me,"Why did you guys kiss on the lips for?"
Michael disgusted that I asked him such a question, "THAT IS WHAT BEST FRIENDS DO!"
Me, "what did your teacher say to you?"
Michael, "that we should only kiss mommies and daddies; but she is my BEST FRIEND AND THAT IS WHAT BEST FRIENDS DO! You and daddy do."

Thankfully, yesterday they just played together and didn't touch each other.

I will not bore you with the details of our trip to North Carolina!!! We had a great relaxing time!!! I hope Duane's parents did too!!! We (the boys) ate them out of their house! The boys ate 3 1/2 packages of bacon while we were down there; there fridge and pantry was full of food when we came and when we left they were empty. I will let the pictures tell you what all we did! We had a great time! I was surprised that we were able to get EVERYTHING in our van. check out that picture! I finally got everything put away, Duane and Michael cleaned out the toy box (I'll tell you later what Michael is going to do with his "old" toys), laundry done, folded and put away, the Christmas "stuff" is put in the garage until my husband is fully healed and can take it to the shed. While I was in N.C. I did get all of my fall scrapbooking finished and I started December. I am sooo excited to be almost caught up. I love to scrapbook; but it always seems to be pushed to the back burner.

Christmas with the Heintzelman's

Last weekend we had Christmas with my family. Here are some pictures of us.
Michael has been begging for this toy. We got it for him; Duane put it together and turned it on. Michael hystically jumped in my mom's lap crying, "turn it off, don't let it get me." Wesley at first liked it until he saw Michael's reaction and did the same thing; but running to my dad. It was a sight to see!! All it took was a couple of kids wanting to play with it and Michael not wanting them to see his reaction. Now, he loves it and every night has to be charged. Thankfully it came with a rechargeable battery.

Here is one more frugal thing I made for my co-workers. This one wasn't original like the last one. I found the idea on the Internet last year.

Wesley potty training himself. He did this himself. Most of the time you will find him standing up doing it. We were at the store this week and he let me know that he needed to go "poo."
Here is a picture of Michael at his school party.

Here's the scoop! Of three boys have been to the doctor this week! Wesley has an ear infection and had to get a couple of shots. The pulmonary doctor was very happy with the medicines that Wesley is taking and the outcome of them. We don't have to see her for 2-3 months!!! Yea!!! We have been going every other week.

Poor Michael!!! He has whooping cough, bronchitis and an ear infection.

The last picture shows Duane's arm after having carpal tunnel surgery on his right arm. He is doing good; each day it seems to hurt a little bit more and is swollen.

Friday-we went with Robert and one of his friends to the Festival of lights. We had a great time and the boys enjoyed it. The only thing that bothered me was Michael put his gloves on for the second time since we bought them and lost the left glove. GRRRR!! With our zoo membership; our free; including Robert and his friend.

Saturday, The poor kids had to go to Meijers with me. My weekly grocery trip took two hours instead of the typical. The kids were GREAT!!! They got rewarded with going swimming at lifetime. Wesley is a water-dog; he loves it! Michael is very skittish. I was impressed when he (in his words) went in the "deep end." The water was touch the upper part of his chest. When we were finished; we went in to take a shower. As I was drying Wesley, Michael was letting the water run over his head. Michael HATES when the water goes over his eyes. When it is time to wash his hair; he panics. I am hoping this is a sign that he is over his fear of water in his face! Of course This trip was free.

I had to make a cake for someone this week. They wanted a carrot cake with no nuts. No, it is not my birthday-another Katie.

Here is another frugal moment of mine. Yeah, it may be corny; but I think it is clever!
Michael has three teachers and Wesley had two babysitters (my aunt was watching him on Friday's but moved to Tennessee on Tuesday). What do you get everyone and try not to break the bank? Well, here is what I came up with.
In the basket is...a gift card, crest toothpaste, oral b toothbrush,Dove deodorant, Advil PM, Bic Soleil Razer, softsoap and celestial seasonings sleepytime tea. With this basket I typed out a cool-corny saying:
Thank you for always making sure I wash my hands!
I never have to sweat
knowing I have you for non-stop protection.
You always scope me out when I am up to no good.
Even when you scope me out;
you always vitalize me with you minty fresh smile.

into this new experience. With all this being said,

I took the sayings off of the packages to come up with the wording for example the razer on the back said, "shea butter for a flawlessly smooth shave."
Duane thinks I am retarded; but hey I stick to the budget!!!

My last frugal moment from this week before I have to head off to bed:
Michael's gingerbread house. Every time we go through a store; Michael always asks, "Can we buy a gingerbread house today?" I went to purchase a kit and didn't realize that the starting price for one was $9.99. To me, that is a waste! So, here is what I came up with. Every year in my class room we make one out of our milk cartons. This time I used an old shoe box.

Me and my thriftiness and my husband that can make anything!!!!

On my way to work every morning; I see these really cute reindeer. They cost between $30-50. My dad in the winter sales firewood ( I knew where I could get the wood) and I was asking Duane how he thought I could get the peices to stay together. Ready for Christmas

Yesterday morning; I met mom at 3:30 am at a particular store. We got what we wanted and headed over to Kohl's where we made most of our purchases. Duane needed to go to work; so I headed home to get the boys. We went back out and I got most of my shopping done!!!! By 7:30pm we were home and by 9pm we were in BED.

Tuesday night, I worked late in my classroom getting it decorated for Christmas. I left several things at home (bummer) I have to go back today and finish it up. Anyways, I came home and found the Christmas tree was up with lights on it. Duane ALWAYS puts the tree up for me!!! I love it! Apparently, Michael bugged him to put it up. Tuesday and Wednesday morning I finished up the decorations.

Duane went to Meijer's at 5 am this morning for his deals. I may post one of his good deals; but the rest will have to wait for Christmas.
Here is one picture of Michael's Thanksgiving Party at school. He LOVED the turkey and had fourths. The teacher asked Michael what is was thankful for and his answer was SNACKS. I guess what kid isn't thankful for snacks.

With two little boys and a big one (Duane) in my house I know exactly what this poem is talking about! I thought you might enjoy it and if you have boys in your house; I am sure you can relate! I found this poem on www.momandmicrophone.com.

There are boys in my house
One big one, two small
Toys scattered in bedrooms and all down the hall
They swing their make-believe swords through the air
With dirt on their faces and tousled blonde hair
Footballs, big trucks, and gooey green slime
So full of energy, no concept of time
Then it's off to get bad guys and slide down the stairs
They make forts with a blanket thrown over two chairs
They live for video games and books about sports

Yesterday and today we were out of school. Us teachers were suppose to going to a convention in Dayton for some CEU's; but there really was nothing for the preschool teachers. We (the preschool teachers) will be going to seminars over a weekend in April; so we don't totally get off of the hook. So, here is what I did with my time off:
1. Took Wesley to his Upper GI Procedure-he has "common" reflux. They said they will probably give him a pill for. I think I may protest; because he is on a lot of medicines for his asthma and allergies. We'll see what they say!

I like the new Children's Hospital in Liberty.

Dad came over and took Michael out for breakfast. Michael should of known that Papa was feeding him up to put him to work. LOL :>)

Michael and dad worked on an island dad is building in front of their house. Michael was a muddy, mulchy mess when I picked him up. He sure enjoyed helping and my dad paid him for his hard work. Michael kindly replied back, "no thank you papa you keep your money." That was not a prompt from me; I assured him it was fine to take it.

2. I saw my grandparents that I haven't seen in a LONG while! With being sick; I didn't want to go around them!

3. Laundry and Clean the house. It wasn't just the normal weekly cleaning! I cleaned the windows, blinds, baseboards, and doors. There was several rooms that needed a little organizing which took a lot longer than what I wanted to spend. By the time Duane got home; my back was sore and I was tired!!!

4. I had a cake order due today.

5. All of Michael's school work. Yeah, 3 years old and having school work. He had a turkey to make and our school is doing Operation Christmas Child. We went to Target and filled up a shoebox for a little boy his age. He kept telling me it was for Konnor. I informed him that Konnor had plenty of toys and this was for a child that didn't have any toys.

Not exactly how I thought it would turn out!!!!

6. Teacher things-LOTS of teacher things that are STILL NOT finished like report cards.

7. Chuckie Cheese. We only spent 30 minutes there; but the boys enjoyed their new "toys."
